ELL Accommodations
To request ELL accommodations for students testing in school, please follow the process outlined here. To request ELL accommodations for students testing remotely proctored, please follow the process outlined below.
To Request Accommodations
1. Familiarize yourself with our Accommodations Deadlines. Accommodations Request Forms must be submitted at least 4 weeks before your desired test date to allow CLT sufficient time to process your request.
2. Read our Documentation Guidelines and collect documentation that supports your students’ requests and fits our requirements. Requests for more accommodations than indicated in the student’s supporting documentation will delay approval.
3. Download our Consent Form for Releasing Accommodations Documentation and have the document signed by both the student and their parent/guardian. We accept both ink and digital signatures. Verbal consent is not sufficient.
4. Log in to the CLT Accommodation Portal. If your school has not yet received login information, please fill out this form for your accommodations coordinator to be granted portal access.
5. Submit a request in the portal for each student. Please note–we cannot accept incomplete applications, so please make sure you have all your documentation accessible before beginning the process.

All requests must be submitted four weeks prior to the test date. Any requests submitted without sufficient documentation during the first application may not be processed within the four weeks.
It is not necessary to submit requests for accommodations for the CLT3-8 exams. It is the responsibility of schools, co-ops, and homeschool parents to provide accommodations for these exams that reflect what the student requires in normal classroom settings.
If a student has previously received testing accommodations for the CLT or CLT10, those accommodations are applied to the exact CLT username/account used by the student for the duration of the approval period. Please contact us if you have any questions about your specific case.
